Virginia Dillon Quinn of Alexandria, Virginia passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 6th. Ginger was born in Washington D.C. and was raised in Kensington, Maryland. She attended The Academy of The Holy Cross for high school, Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and Dumbarton College in Washington, D.C.
Ginger was a realtor with McEnearney and Associates for the past 27 years. Prior to that she worked in retail and was the proprietor of a children’s shop, The Purple Goose, in Alexandria.
She had many interests including traveling with her husband John. They went on numerous trips, most recently to Patagonia and Telluride, Colorado. She was a lover of birds, horses, dogs, and all animals. Gardening and flowers were also a passion. She had many friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Ginger is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, John and her brother Richard Dillon. She was predeceased by her sister, Joanne Dillon Ladd. She is also survived by her three children and their spouses; Molly (Rich), John (Angela), and Christopher (Victoria). And her nine beloved grandchildren; Colin, Kate, Dillon, Amanda, Quinn, Mary, Virginia, Declan and Conrad.
